Every Spirit Builds Itself a House

Huntsville, you've won the battle, but not the war. We've decided to stay here for now. It was really decided for us--with school starting back and lack of interest in the house it is just too hard to keep it on the market for now. Hopefully, I can start nursing school in the Spring, and Jonathan can finish his Biology degree by next Summer. I decided to go back to full-time at Huntsville Hospital, and Jonathan is trying to move to a weekend shift. I'd love it if we were back on the same schedule again. The past few months have been a whirlwind of trying to keep everything straight!

So far, it has been an awfully rainy July. Sunday night we took advantage of some breaks in the storm, and went for a motorcycle ride followed by a nice walk in Big Spring Park. I love being able to slow down for a moment with Jonathan and just enjoy each other. We've (meaning I've) decided to try to be a little healthier lately. My never-ending quest to get him to eat more fruits and vegetables seems to be getting less and less challenging. Maybe I'm just finally figuring out how to cook them in more pleasing ways!

Recent healthier menu items at the LeCroy household:

-Spicy Asian Coleslaw
-"Clean" Zucchini Bread
-Black Beans, Brown Rice, and Chicken
-Almond Milk, Banana, Peanut Butter Smoothies
-2% Milk! (Jonathan has always sworn that he would only drink whole milk, but after about four years of nagging I have successfully helped change his mind ;)

We still eat terribly unhealthy foods most of the time, but I'm hoping this trend will stick!
