Jonathan and I have been planning our second anniversary celebration for the past few months. We originally thought about San Francisco. It's so beautiful there, and we had plans to rent a car and drive up and down the California coast. We figured up the costs and compared it to our special vacation savings account, and decided that it would just be too much to spend. A few weeks pass, and I was scoping out Kayak.com for plane tickets (I do this about a few times a week and daydream about exotic travel destinations), and to my surprise I found tickets to Paris for about the same price it would have been to go to SanFran. I immediately called Jonathan, and told him about this good fortune and we agreed to sleep on it and decide the next day.
That night we stayed up late talking about how much we love Paris, and how wonderful and lucky it would be to get the opportunity to go again in such a short time! As soon as we woke up the next day we searched for the tickets again, and they remained at the same price. We excitedly bought them right then. When we went for our honeymoon, we spent most of our time just walking around in awe of the architecture and finding cute cafes to fill up our bellies with delicious French food. This time, I think we're going to have more of a set itinerary. We definitely want to see Versailles and the Lourve this time, and maybe even see an Opera! We also want to plan to go to more of the markets, and I've already been making lists of the different ones that we'd like to visit. Excited doesn't even begin to describe how I'm feeling about this trip!
Here's a list I've started of all the sights/places/restaurants/etc that we are wanting to visit this time:
-Versailles
-Louvre
-Champagne
-Dinner Cruise on the Seine
-L'atelier/ L'aperouse/ La Guarse Robe
-Marche Richard Lenoir--Sunday
-Opera
-Marche Saint Pierre
I'm sure many more will come up during the next month as we plan away!
